Lucknow: 45 more COVID-19 patients died in Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours while 4,687 new cases of infection were reported. Additional Chief Secretary of Medical and Health Department Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday that 45 more COVID-19 patients have died during the last 24 hours in the state.





So far 2,069 people have died due to the COVID-19 virus in the state. According to the Bulletin of the Health Department, Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar have the highest number of deaths at six each. Apart from this, three each in Varanasi and Jhansi, two each in Bareilly, Unnao, Pilibhit, Rae Bareli, and Lakhimpur Kheri, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Moradabad, Ghazipur, Barabanki, Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahar, Kushinagar, Chandauli, Maharajganj, Gonda, Mathura. , Siddharthnagar, Auraiya, Etah, and Shravasti, one Kovid-19 patient has died.




He informed that 4,687 new patients of Kovid-19 have also come up in the state during this period. The capital Lucknow has the highest number of 684 new cases. Besides, 329 new patients have been detected in Kanpur Nagar, 300 in Varanasi, 214 in Gorakhpur, 200 in Bareilly, 180 in Prayagraj, 107 in Azamgarh and 104 in Saharanpur.




Prasad said that at present the total number of patients under treatment in the state is 47,890 and so far 72,650 people have fully recovered and gone home. Prasad said that till a month ago, where the death rate of Kovid-19 was three percent in the state, there has been a lot of improvement in it and now it has come down to 1.68 percent. He said that 99,878 samples were tested in the state on Saturday. So far, 31,18,567 samples have been tested in the state.
