NEP has helped in revamping India's education system as per the demands of the future - PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday highlighted the role played by the National Education Policy (NEP) in revamping the country's education system according to the aptitude of the youth and the demands of the future.

Addressing a post-budget seminar, PM Modi said, “The National Education Policy has focused equally on both learning and skilling. We have re-oriented education and skills according to the aptitude of the youth and the demands of the future. I am glad to see that we have received a lot of support from the teachers in this endeavour."
"Over the years, the central government has focused on internships and apprenticeships to give youth exposure outside the classroom," he said.

Encouraging the use of the National Internship Portal, the PM said that this platform hosts about 75,000 employers. He said, 'We have to promote the internship culture in the country. This will help the youth to be ready for the future.

“We are also encouraging apprenticeships in India, which will help the industry identify skill-specific individuals for the workforce. Therefore, a provision has been made in this budget to give stipend to 50 lakh youth under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.
