Scientist of Chandrayaan 3 - Vinati Bhatia of Kanpur
This is the story of Vinati Bhatia, who caught a thread of success amidst many failures. Born in the 90's, studies kept coming as a challenge in the life of this girl, so she also accepted that challenge. The distance between a better student and a less good student was covered only by her hard work and dedication.
Every family has its own financial problems, so this family also had them. When mother took care of that end, Viti's study started her journey. Who knew that Chandra Mohini Bhatia's daughter Vinati would one day play an important role in the Chandrayaan 3 mission.
Chandra Mohini Bhatia, a teacher of Kanpur Cantt School, vowed to give good education to her children. Then Vanti was weak in studies. Many children are weak in studies but the mother was adamant that her daughter should study in a good school. Enrolled in Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School. Father Krishna Gopal Bhatia also gave full support in this journey.
After somehow reaching the eighth standard, from the ninth, Vinati caught the tone of studies and got absorbed in the books. To escape the grief of losing his beloved grandfather, he turned to books.
Vinati, who was considered a weak girl, now started doing well in the class. Her teacher started to see that this girl, who used to stay far behind, is slowly coming forward. The teacher alerted the topper of the class to look into the request. During the tenth and eleventh, she got hold of the studies and did very well in the twelfth.
Then reached IMS Engineering College Ghaziabad. Chose mechanical engineering in which fewer girls used to study. But here in one semester I did not get the desired result and my heart was broken. Didn't give up Vinti pulled herself together and braced herself once again.
Vinati remained at the forefront for the next four years. After engineering went to Hyderabad to work in IT sector, did not like there, then returned to Kanpur. And decided that she would study further in mechanical engineering only.
Joined DRDO. Now she started dreaming of becoming a scientist. Got a chance to study at IIT Delhi on a fellowship from DRDO and completed a Master's in Science along with doing the job.
Started studying in the library all night and once again gave the GATE exam. In the first time, there was no satisfactory success. In the second time, the rank came within 1000. Job offers came from many public sector companies but were postponed due to different reasons.

In 2015, Vinati reached her city to do a Ph.D. on a government scholarship. IIT Kanpur. She had dreamed of studying but after traveling such a long distance she reached IIT Kanpur.
Vinati decided to give the ISRO exam. There was only one seat in the whole of India for the subject for which she appeared in the examination. The request was successful. It became a part of ISRO in June 2016.
Chandra Mohini's daughter had now reached ISRO. In these seven years, with his dedication, he made a reputation among the scientists there. He started getting the best grades and getting promoted. One day Chandra Mohini's daughter Vinati becomes a part of Chandrayaan's team.
I cannot tell the story beyond this. But how much the story told is related to Chandrayaan's success, failure, and success. Vinati has a very good brother. Shashank Bhatia. Before every exam, he used to give pen to his sister and after the exam, he used to go to see her result.
After listening to the discussion of his sister with that brother, felt that this story should be known in everyone's homes. We start with many types of shortcomings, move ahead and overcome them and then one day reach the destination. Nothing in this story is ready-made, no one has blessed it, just the persistence of falling behind and moving forward from time to time completes the journey of this story.
My salute to you Vinati Bhatia. Scientists like you have given a new dream to all of us. Dream of starting in less, traveling together.
I have written this story in the insistence that at the time of such a huge success, there is little space for scientists in our media space. We all should try to spread such a story to the people. If you know someone who is related to the Chandrayaan 3 mission, write their story and share it with people.
