In a historic decision today, the Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to make public the complete list of 65 lakh names removed from the voter list before the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.

The Supreme Court also clarified that Aadhaar card will be accepted as a valid document for adding or correcting names in the voter list. The decision comes amid controversies that a large number of names were removed from the voter list in Bihar, in which many people had lodged their complaints.
