Bihar: First phase election campaign stopped, Nitish's 8 ministers are at stake
Votes will be cast on 71 seats in the first phase of Bihar assembly elections on October 28. The election campaign has stopped from 5 pm In the first phase, many political giants are eyeing, in which the credibility of 8 ministers of the Nitish government is also at stake. Of these, there are four BJP and four JDU quota ministers, whose opposition is under tremendous siege by the opposition, and rebels in many seats remain a challenge. In such a situation, there seems to be a very interesting contest between the seats with the ministers of Nitish.
Among the eight ministers of Bihar's Nitish government who are at stake, Agriculture Minister Dr. Prem Kumar from Gaya, Education Minister Krishna Nandan Verma from Jehanabad, Rural Affairs Minister Shailesh Kumar from Jamalpur, Science and Technology Minister Jai Kumar Singh from Dinara, Rajapur Transport Minister Santosh Kumar Nirala, Revenue Minister Ramnarayan Mandal from Banka, Labor Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakhisarai and Brijkishore Bind, SC and ST Welfare Minister from Chainpur.
Dinara: Baghi made a triangular match
In the NDA seat-sharing, the Dinara Assembly seat has gone to JDU's account, due to which Nitish Kumar has expressed confidence in his sitting MLA Jai Singh while Vijay Mandal from RJD is the candidate from here. Rajendra Singh, BJP's state vice-president, and Union campaigner has made the election contest interesting by taking tickets from LJP. JDU-RJD was in the 2015 assembly elections, but Jai Singh was left sweating to win from here. JD Kumar of JDU won by a mere 2691 votes. Now Rajendra Singh is in the fray from the LJP, due to which the political equation of JDU is seen to be messed up and the contest has become triangular. In such a situation, if the cadre of the BJP is able to manage the vote a little too much, then it will not be easy for the JDU to impose a hat-trick.
Gaya seat: a tough challenge for BJP
There seems to be a very interesting contest on the Gaya Town Assembly seat. BJP's strong leader and Bihar government's Agriculture Minister Dr. Prem Kumar is in the field, against whom Akhauri Omkar Nath of Congress is in the fray. Apart from this, Randhir Kumar from RLSP and Nikhil Kumar from Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Party. Seven-time MLA Prem Kumar's Gaya Town is considered a strong stronghold, but this time Akhauri Onkar Nath of the Grand Alliance became a big challenge in front of him. However, in the 2015 elections, Prem Singh won by about 22 thousand votes despite being with the Congress-RJD-JDU.
Banka seat: BJP vs RJD
Ramnarayan Mandal, Land Revenue Minister and BJP leader in the Nitish government are in the fray in the Banka Assembly seat. At the same time, the contest has become quite interesting with the landing of former RJD MLA Javed Iqbal Ansari and Kaushal Singh of RLSP. However, the political battle of Banka's seat has been taking place between Javed Ansari and Ramnayaran Mandal for the last three decades, and once again both are face to face. If Javed Ansari wants to snatch the BJP from the Yadav and Muslim equations, Ramnarayan is once again trying to win with the help of Modi and Nitish.
Lakhisarai: BJP-RJD's direct battle
BJP MLA and Lakhisarai's Labor Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha is in the fray again in Lakhisarai seat of Bihar's first phase, against which Amrish Kumar Aneesh of Congress is trying for the Grand Alliance. At the same time, Rajiv Kumar Dhanuk from BSP has made the contest a challenge by getting into the ground.
However, BJP's Vijay Kumar Sinha has reached the assembly after winning twice from the Lakhisarai seat and is in the election for the purpose of putting this hat-trick. If we talk about the caste equation, then about 10 percent of the Yadav voters who vote together is almost certain to become MLAs, besides Yadav, there are a good number of Paswan, Kurmi, and Muslim, with the help of which the Congress wins Is in the process of registering.
BSP challenge in BJP's way on Chainpur seat
The credit of Bihar mining minister and BJP MLA Brij Kishore Bind is at stake from Chainpur assembly seat. Congress candidate Prakash Kumar Singh is in the fray against Brij Kishore Bind. The BSP has bet on its old candidate Mohammad Jama Khan while Jaap has placed a bet on Divan Arshad Hussain. In the 2015 assembly elections, the BSP had presented a tough challenge to Brij Kishore and could win by just 671 votes. In such a situation, the competition has become quite interesting this time. The BSP is considered an important factor in this seat.
Jehanabad: Nitish's minister in the fort of RJD
Jehanabad assembly seat is considered a high profile. From here, Nitish Sarkar Education Minister and JDU leader Krishnanandan Prasad Verma have entered the election field. Verma was contesting from Ghosi as the Grand Alliance candidate in 2015 and won the assembly after winning. However, this time he has changed the seat and is in the fray from Jehanabad, against whom Kumar Krishna Mohan alias Suday Yadav from RJD is trying his luck. In 2015, Sunday Yadav's father Mudrika Singh Yadav had won from Jehanabad, but he died due to dengue. After this, Sunday Yadav has been elected as an MLA from here. LJP candidate Indu Devi Kashyap remains the biggest obstacle in the path of Krishnanandan Prasad Verma. In such a situation, the political battle here is considered to be quite a thorn.
Triangular fight on Jamalpur seat
Bihar government minister and JDU leader Rural Works Minister Shailesh Kumar is in the fray in Jamalpur assembly seat. This time there is Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh of Congress from the Grand Alliance. With the landing of Durgesh Kumar Singh from LJP, a triangular battle has been formed in Jamalpur. Shailesh Kumar won the 2015 and 2010 assembly elections defeating LJP. However, three consecutive MLAs are being elected from here. Shailesh will have the challenge of taking the seat for the fourth consecutive time, then his opponents will not want to leave any stone unturned in winning the seat.
JDU vs LJP on Rajpur seat
Santosh Kumar Nirala, Transport Minister of the Nitish government is in Nirala Maidan from Rajpur Assembly (reserved) seat in the Buxar district. JDU leader Santosh Kumar Nirala has won the elections twice in a row. He defeated Chhedi Lal Ram of LJP in 2010 and Vishwanath Ram of BJP in 2015. However, this time Vishwanath Ram is on Congress ticket, then LJP's Nirbhay Kumar Nirala has descended and made Rajpur seat a triangular contest.
